I have worked with Ed Stroeher, Classical Services, since 1995, the year I started my Home
custom and estate homes, and all of them contain all manner of custom designed and built
specialty trim work.
Since my first home project, I have used classical Services as my supplier and fabricator of
virtually all the custom mantels, bookshelves, entertainment centers, window seats, tables, benches
and specialty cabinetry that are installed in the homes I build. I have also employed Classical
Services as a supplier of base trim, casing, crown mould and other custom millwork. Over the
years I have found that the prices for the custom materials I get from Classical Services are very
reasonable given its high quality.
I have used, and will continue to use Classical Services as my supplier for high-end custom
cabinetry and millwork because of the unmatched quality and value of Ed Stroeher’s work. I know
that the finished product that Ed delivers to a house I am building will display the attention to
detail and meticulous craftsmanship that complements and enhances the value of that home.

Classical Services has produced the furniture for several church renovations that I worked with
as an art consultant. The result was elegant beauty in furnishings that I have every confidence
will last a life time.

Sue and I would like to thank you again for designing and building the bar for our new home.
We couldn't be happier with how it turned out and that’s saying a lot coming from a tool and
die maker. We were especially pleased by your passion to get “just the right proportions” on
the details, which compliment the bar as a whole.
The appliances are all installed with the door fronts on them now, so you really need to come
by and take some pictures.

Ed Stroeher made my fireplace mantel, outside shutters, and cupola that perches on top of the
garage. His craftsmanship is impeccable and all were finished and delivered on schedule. Ed
has talent and taste. He has photos of previous work and can guide you in decision making. He
did an excellent job for us and I would not hesitate to recommend him for any woodworking
job, big or small. He keeps a pretty clean shop too.
Ed has finished three projects for us: a built-in entertainment center, a two-piece fireplace
mantle, and a video/stereo cabinet. Each of the pieces he has made for us has been of fine
quality and craftsmanship. Ed is a professional who makes sure things are done right and has
them done when promised. We highly recommend Classical Services to anyone looking for
beautiful, high-quality woodworking.

The Arts and Education Council commissioned Ed Stroeher of Classical Services to build an
incredible table designed by Sister Josephine Niemann, SSND, as the centerpiece of our new
offices in Grand Center. The quality of workmanship, the collegial working relationship and
the outstanding reality of a piece both practical and monumental! We continually have
visitors to our offices and they are very impressed by the beautiful addition to our renovated
offices in a 1907 building. Jim Weidman, our President, and I both visited Ed’s shop and
could not improve on the entire experience.

My husband and I built a new house and our builder contracted with Ed Stroeher to build all of
our mantles and outside shutters. We met with Ed about what kind of shutters we wanted. We
told him we wanted these certain kind of wood shutters and gave him the color that we wanted
not sure how many days went by, but it seemed like in no time they were done and sitting in
the garage. They turned out exactly how we wanted them to look. We both thought, wow, that
Next we met with him about three different mantles we needed built. He had an extensive book
to look at of past mantles he had done, all of which were beautiful. That only reinforced to us
that he was very talented at his trade. I showed him some pictures of what I had in mind. We
also went over what kind of stain and paint we wanted on them He took measurements, and
again said “no problem”. The mantles were constructed and put in and they looked great. They
were just what we had in mind! After getting the mantles in we decided the formal mantle
looked a plain in the room it was in. I called him and he came over to discuss what pieces
could be added dress it up a little. He gave me a website to pick something out from, and
seemed very happy to do whatever. I called him with what we decided, and again he got the
piece and added it without any problems. We thought he was very flexible and eager to please!
That didn’t seem to always be the case with some of the other contractors we worked with
during this process. It was so nice to work with someone that was easy going and didn’t get
upset if something had to be changed a little to achieve what we were looking for.
We were very satisfied and would definitely recommend Ed to anyone who needed the type of
special craftsmanship he can provide. He turns a simple piece of wood into something very
beautiful and pleasing to the eye.

" We have used Classical Services personally for over 15 years. So it made logical sense to
pass the quality of Classical Services workmanship onto our customers when we purchased
our company 3 years ago. We could not be happier with the end product and results of each
and every purchase. Ed delivers his products on time and in excellence. Customer service,
dependability, quality of workmanship, and reliability of promised delivery date. Each are
done in complete excellence and we could not find the tiniest request for improvement. When
it comes to specialty wood products, Ed is the only person that comes to mind."

I would like to thank you for the work that you did for the work you did for us at St. Ann
When we were given a gift to be used for the church after we had refurbished it two years ago,
we agreed we need a new lectern, a Presider’s chair and benches for our altar servers. We
went to many catalogues and while we found some that were to our liking, the cost was beyond
our reach or the items were not what we were seeking. One of my Parish Council Members
heard of Ed and asked him for some estimates and determined that we could get the chair and
Not only were they beautiful, functional and fit into our space perfectly, they were truly and
exceptional value. The quality is so much more than I expected for the price. We were so
pleased that when we had the funds for a new lectern, we naturally turned to Ed again and the
lectern is exceptional. Smaller than our old one, it fits perfectly into our worship space,
complimenting the altar and a worthy place from which to proclaim the
Any pastor or church group could do no better than to contact Ed and avail themselves to his
craftsmanship. Anyone is welcome to stop by our church at 7851 Hwy YY, 4 ½ miles west of

Dear Mr. Stroeher
Thank you for the beautiful kneeler. It is exactly what I wanted. It not only looks beautiful, but it
feels just right. It is also much lighter than I expected, thanks to your design. This makes it so
much easier to move it.
Thanks again for giving me a tour of the shop. I felt as if I was in the place of my boyhood
dreams a creative woodworking shop. What a joy!
May the Lord bless you and your family.
Devotedly yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Robert J. Hermann
I have worked with Classical Services for the last few years and have been very happy with
the quality of products provided. We searched regionally to find anyone that could custom
manufacture over 200 feet of AZEK spindles and railings to duplicate a historical reproduction
to exact specifications. We could not have been happier with Classical Services as they
reproduced our materials to perfection. I have had other custom products made since our first
order, and have never been disappointed. There attention to detail as well as professionalism
will keep us coming back.

We were introduced to Classical Services by our builder to construct built-in shelving around
our fireplace and a custom desk that folds up into the wall when not in use. We were so pleased
with Ed’s work product, professionalism and attitude that we commissioned a coffee table that
has been widely complimented by our guests. We also entrusted Ed with the task of refinishing
an antique dining table that was returned to us as a beautiful piece of furniture we can use every
day without fear of damaging it. We have other projects that we will commission in the near
future. Classical Services has earned the privilege to be our sole source for custom
woodworking. If you seek a true craftsman with outstanding integrity, you need look no further
than Ed Stroeher.

When we finished our basement, we decided to have a 300 gallon salt water aquarium as the
focal point of the room.
The aquarium stand needed to hide two support columns and a drain pipe. I sent Ed a hand
drawn sketch of what I wanted, and he came out to our house to personally discuss the project.
Ed also worked very closely with Kevin at Salty Underground who was setting up the aquarium.
The finished project was even better than I dreamed. Ed built exactly what I wanted and beat a
very tight deadline. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ed for any of your woodworking projects.
My husband and I recently built our first home after years of dreaming and planning. We had
some very definite ideas of what we wanted in some areas, but needed a lot of help in others.
Fortunately for us, our builders recommended Ed Stroeher when it came time to design our
mantles, cupola and shutters. Ed was patient with us - listened to our ideas, reviewed drawings
and photos and made suggestions. He was always on time for meetings and delivery dates and
produced high quality, custom, hand crafted pieces.
The cupola and shutters are constructed of Azek and painted to last out in the weather for years
and years without degradation or maintenance. Within the first year the cupola took a direct
lightning hit which blew a hole in the front panel and through our roof. Ed quickly made a
replacement panel and no one would ever know it had sustained a lightning strike.
The mantle in our living room is beautiful and is the focal point of the room. We wanted the
mantle in my husband’s office to be simpler and it blends perfectly with the flanking
We recommend Ed and Classical Services without reservation.
